Nigerians To Watch Afcon Final On Terrestrial Television
Published: February 08, 2013
Nigerians will watch the final game of the African Cup of Nations this Sunday on terrestrial television, the online edition of Soccer Star is reporting on its website.
Majority of followers of the Super Eagles back home have been denied the opportunity of watching the team's matches at the ongoing tourney after the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria failed to reach a compromise with LC2-AFNEX (the holders of the rights) before the start of the competition.
But there is good news. It was revealed on Thursday by CAF Secretary General, Hicham El Amran that the continental body has an understanding with BON that would allow Nigerian television stations to broadcast the final match.
Note that kickoff for the final between Nigeria and Burkina Faso at Soccer City, Johnnaesburg is 19:00 hours.
