Afcon Triumph Will Re - energize Musa - Kopeikin
Published: February 11, 2013
Nigeria's triumph at the African Cup of Nations will re-energize Ahmed Musa when he returns to CSKA Moscow from national team duty, 1970 Russian champion Boris Kopeikin has told Russian media.
Championat.com with reference to Sport Express quoted Boris Kopeikin as saying: ''Musa, certainly has not said his last word in CSKA Moscow and triumph in South Africa will really give him strength. As for competition, now it is unclear who the coaching staff will bet on.
''Slutsky probably will allow the footballer relax after a stressful event, but after a while Musa will join in the attacking power and strengthen our championship leader. Besides against teammates in the club, he is prepared physically after winning the Nations Cup.''
Musa, 20, played 5 games for the Super Eagles in South Africa, netting in the 4 - 1 semi - final victory over Mali.
