Oke Akpoveta Convinced Brondby Will Survive

Oke Akpoveta may be searching for his first Brondby goal in the Danish Superliga after 19 matches played. His performance against Esbjerg brings hope that he could soon end his barren spell in front of goal.
Introduced by manager Skarbalius with 35 minutes remaining and Brondby trailing Esbjerg by the odd goal, Akpoveta proved a handful for the opposition defense and earned a penalty, which was converted by Jens Larsen.
''I'll admit it was one of my best games in a Brondby jersey. I came in to make the difference and I was brought down for the penalty. Overall, I think it was a good game for me,'' Akpoveta informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Warri Wolves striker is convinced that Brondby, who have been battling with relegation for most part of the season, will escape the drop.
He said: ''Yes, I am sure we will survive, because the spirit of winning has gradually come back. If we can win on Sunday against FCM, it's even going to bring more confidence to the squad.
''The point difference is not that much. So I think we still have the time to turn things around in our favor.''
In the current campaign, Oke Akpoveta has suited up 16 times for Brondby in the Danish championship.
