Amrounche Invites Wanyama , Oliech For World Cup Qualifier Against Nigeria

Coach Adel Amrouche has called in foreign based players who will link up with the national soccer team Harambee Stars next week in preparation for the FIFA world Cup qualifier match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles, writes michezoafrika.com.
This will be the first match for the newly appointed coach Adel Amrouche who took over from interim coach James Nandwa. Nandwa was in charge since the mysterious disappearance and departure of French man Henri Michel who terminated his contract after just three months on duty.
Kenya will be traveling to Nigeria for the first leg meet against newly crowned African champions Nigeria on 23rd of March 2013.
Midfielder Jamal Mohammed is among those called up by coach Amrouche same as Belgium based Johanna Omollo.
Captain Dennis Oliech who is already in the country, Celtic’s Victor Wanyama and the duo of Brian Mandela and David Gateri both based in South Africa are also part of Amrouche’s plan.
Azam’s duo of Humphrey Mieno and Joackins Atudo have also made the cut.
Ayub Timbe who did not make it for the friendly match against Libya despite being called by the coach is also among those named by Amrouche.
Harambee Stars last match was the 3-0 thrashing of Libya’s national team in Tripoli mid February.
