Two Foreign Based Players Join Kenya Camp
Published: May 29, 2013
Two foreign based players have added up to Adel Amrouche’s numbers in the Harambee Stars training camp as they prepare to face off with Nigeria in a crucial 2014 World Cup Qualifier at the Moi Kasarani Stadium on June 5th.
Jamal Mohammed and Patrick Osiako are the latest foreign based players to join Adel Amrouche’s camp after Oman based Kepha Aswani and the Azam duo of Jockins Atudo and Humphrey Mieno. The rest are expected to start trickling in on Wednesday evening.
Coach Amrouche has also confirmed the unavailability of South Africa’s David Gateri who is injured and Ayub Timbe who chose to pull out of the match.
Jamal and Osiako are in and it is a plus to my squad. It is very disheartening to lose several players with injury. Rama is out for three weeks and so is Gateri. Timbe and Mariga will not be coming as well, Mungai (Kiongera) has been injured for long, Dennis is out and so is Arnold. It is a tough one,” Amrouche told Michezoafrika.com.
At the same time, the team will be leaving for Naivasha this afternoon if all go as planned. The team was supposed to have left yesterday.
“I am hoping that we will manage to go today if they honor their promise.” Amrouche told Michezoafrika.com.
