Kenya Accuses Nigeria Federation Of Playing Hide And Seek

The Kenyan soccer Federation (FKF) has accused the Nigerian Federation of playing hide and seek in regards to sending out information on their expected date of arrival in Nairobi for the World Cup qualifier match, reports michezoafrika.com.
Kenya will host the African champions Nigeria in Nairobi next week on Wednesday for the return leg of the Group H fixture to be played at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.
According to Football Kenya Federation secretary General Michael Esakwa, “The super eagles are playing hide and seek with the Kenya Football authorities as they still yet to communicate their arrival date just days before the match.”
“We wrote to them two months ago and later again three weeks requesting that information but up to now they are still quiet, we copied FIFA and the Nigerian high commission in Nairobi but in Vain.”
FKF has therefore accused the Nigeria federation of violating the FIFA Article 19 para 2 of the FIFA world cup regulations that requires visiting teams to inform their host of the date and time of arrival, and composition of the delegation within one month to match day.
“However we are aware that they intend to sneak into the country and blame the federation, but we are ready any time and infact our protocol team is at the airport 24/7” says Michael Esakwa the FKF Secretary General.
