Galatasaray team doctor Yener İnce has provided an injury update on Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the club's upcoming league encounter against Kasımpaşa on Friday evening.
The Nigeria international sustained the injury during Galatasaray's 3-2 victory over İstanbul Başakşehir at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium.
Since picking up the injury, Osimhen has missed three matches across all competitions against Kocaelispor, Trabzonspor, and Sporting Lisbon.
The former Napoli striker has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, scoring six goals and providing two assists in four league appearances.
Providing an update on his condition, İnce revealed that Osimhen would undergo medical tests, with a decision on his recovery based on the results.
"We will conduct tests on all three players, on Osimhen, on Singo, and on Sallai as well. We will make a decision based on the test results," Ince said to Winner Galatasaray.
He added that the Super Eagles star was responding well to treatment and is in much better condition.
"But the treatment of all three is going very well. In other words, all three are in a much better condition now compared to 1 week - 10 days ago. In other words, thank goodness, there is nothing going wrong with the treatments," he concluded.
The Nigerian attacker, however, missed the Super Eagles' matches against Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau, and Russia during the international break.
However, Osimhen has since resumed training with the team as he continues his recovery and works towards making himself available for the upcoming clash against Kasımpaşa.
