EXCLUSIVE: Stephen Worgu Rejects Zamalek, Aalesunds Trials
Published: August 21, 2013
Former Enyimba hit-man Stephen Worgu has rejected the chance to test with Zamalek ahead of a potential move in the summer transfer market.
The 23 - year - old has been club - less following his release by Al-Merrikh of Sudan.
'' I had an offer for Worgu to undergo trials with Zamalek for seven days.
'' He said he's too big to test in Africa. Wanted the club to sign him immediately and turned down the proposal.
'' He has been inactive for about a year, so it's going to be difficult for him to get a new team,'' a top Nigerian agent told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Norwegian Tippeligaen side Aalesunds had invited Stephen Worgu for trials in February but he rejected their overtures.
He could be the architect of his own misfortune.
