White Jersey Does Not Favor Burkina Faso
Published: September 09, 2013
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will clash with the Stallions of Burkina Faso on Tuesday in Kaduna in an exhibition match.
Both teams met about six months ago at the African Cup of Nations final. On that day, Nigeria won 1 - 0 courtesy of a brilliant strike from Enugu Rangers midfielder Sunday Mba.
Majority of Stallion supporters voiced their concern that they lost the game against Nigeria because of the white jersey worn by the team.
'' We will lose, every time we put this one we lose, remember the final match against Nigeria,'' an unnamed fan was quoted as saying by rtb.bf.
At the African Cup of Nations, Burkina Faso did not lose a game prior to the final against the Super Eagles.
The Paul Put tutored side have won three of their last four away matches - against Morocco, Congo and Niger.
