Eddy Onazi Foils Robbery In Italy
Published: October 01, 2013
Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi put his speed to good use on Tuesday, foiling a robbery he stumbled upon as he was having dinner at a restaurant in the Termini area.
The Nigeria international was with his brother when he saw a thief snatch the wallet of a tourist.
Football-italia.net citing Lazio Style Radio quoted Onazi to have said: “ I saw a boy and immediately felt due to his suspicious behavior that he wanted to steal something.
“I didn’t even have time to tell my brother that he had already snatched the tourist’s wallet and run off.
“I noticed it, so I ran after him, but stayed on the other side of the street.
“I ran for 300 metres, the mugger left the wallet under a car, but I saw him.”
Eddy Onazi finally caught up with the thief and brought the wallet back to the female tourist while the criminal was reported to the police.
