Ejiwumi Dynamic Stars FC of Old Kutunku, Gwagwalada Abuja at the weekend emerged as the winners of the Gwagwalada Football Council Super six soccer competition.

Speaking at the occasion which culminated into the Annual General Meeting of the Gwagwalada Football Council, the Chairman of the FCT Football Association Alhaji Musa Talle insisted that the recent successes recorded by the Super Eagles and the National U-117 team would only be sustained, if genuine efforts are made by the corporate bodies to support grassroots football development.
He said that the impact that the Gwagwalada Football League has made in the development of football in the Capital city can never be quantified.
He commended the Board of the Gwagwalada Football Council for their efforts, and advised them not to relent on their efforts.
The Chairman was represented at the Occasion by a member of the FCT Football Association, Patrick Ngwaogu.
Earlier, the Chairman of Gwagwalada Football Council, Mr. Sanda Ahmed had enumerated the gains of the League to include positively projecting the image of Gwagwalada Area Council, and discovering young talented footballers from the League who are now plying their trades overseas.
