Obiako Chidi’s 69th minutes header cancelled out Osas Peter’s 54th minutes penalty as Unicem Rovers earned a deserved 1-1 draw away from home at the Dipo Dina Stadium.
The Sky Blues failed to utilize their one man advantage after Unicem Rovers were reduced to ten men when Eso Archibong was sent off in the 63th minutes for a second booking .
“The penalty was a good one and the referee got it right but afterwards there were lots of indecent calls. That is football for you ”coach Duncan Effiwat told allnigeriasoccer.com.
He was however pleased with the way the match ended after his team got a share of the spoils.
“We came here ( Ijebu-Ode) with a formidable game plan which worked out for us.”
