Asuquo helps FC Abuja To Impressive Away Draw At Dallatu United

Goalkeeper Emmanuel Asuquo put on another good show to help FC Abuja to an impressive 1-1 away draw against Dallatu United in the Nigerian Nationwide League week 6 match.
The religious custodian had followed up on last weekend’s heroics where he helped the side to an home win which lifted them to second on the Pool C table.
Asuquo’s team however failed to follow up with a win this weekend in their quest to pick one of the two available promotion slots to the Nigeria National League, but it was a vital point gained by them.
Haruna Ilerika’s team had started well by taking the lead through kid bomber Taiwo Abdulrahman.
They however surrendered the lead when the homers levelled matters.
Asuquo lasted the entire match duration and kept his team in the game with some sharp reflex saves in a highly explosive match in Zamfara.
“We played against a team who were also pushing for automatic promotion. I thought we were the better side today (Friday).
“It’s disappointing that we didn’t get the win but as I say, the league table changes.
“We can only do our best, The team deserved the result. In the second half we had so much more intensity and possession. I felt we controlled the game.”
On his match form, the former Akwa United goalkeeper gave glory to God for another eye catching performance, while hoping the team gains promotion back to the NNL.
