Published: April 27, 2014
Italian - Nigerian forward Marco Tagbajumi netted his 20th goal in all competitions as Ermis beat Cyprus powerhouse APOEL 2 - 1 in the Championship round on Saturday.
The win means Ermis have maintained their hopes of finishing at least fourth in the Cypriot First Division, with only four matches left before the end of this season.
“It was a difficult game. APOEL is one of the biggest teams in Cyprus if not the biggest. We were focused, played very well and we got away with the win.
“My goal was a header, a great cross from a teammate. I jumped for it and it landed in the net, ” says Marco Tagbajumi to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ermis will contest the final of the Cup against APOEL on May 25.
