Official : Obafemi Martins Pens Fresh Three - Year Deal With Seattle Sounders

With a note on the official website, MLS side Seattle Sounders have announced that they have prolonged the contract of Obafemi Martins.
Per club and MLS policy, the financial terms and length of the deal were not disclosed, but it is understood the Nigeria international will remain at the club for the next three years.
The 30 - year - old has been rewarded for his imperious displays since he arrived the CenturyLink Field outfit, with 25 goals in 51 appearances, including 17 strikes this season.
“I’m very happy to have signed a contract to be with this team and these players for multiple years.
“This season is not over yet, so I’m excited to do more and score more goals, but it’s nice to know I’ll be here going forward,” said Martins to the official website.
The globetrotter represented clubs in Italy, England, Germany , Russia and Spain before switching to the MLS.
