Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi has gone on social media to thank the Supreme Being and supporters who showed solidarity with the Super Eagles before the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.
Now, the defending champions need a slim victory against Group A winners South Africa in Uyo on Wednesday to book their ticket to Equatorial Guinea, after they defeated the Red Devils 2 - 0 on Saturday.
“Lord thank you for the victory today, we look up to you for the next game. Thanks to every one who prayed for the team. Great fight guys,” said Eddy Onazi on Twitter.
Eddy Onazi has been involved in every single game contested by the Super Eagles at African Cup of Nations qualifying.
The Super Eagles returned to Uyo, venue of the clash against South Africa, early on Sunday morning.
