Super Eagles Media Officer Says No Cause For Alarm Over Eddy Onazi
Published: November 18, 2014
Super Eagles media officer, Ben Alaiya, has stressed that Eddy Onazi is not on the treatment table, despite the central midfielder missing training on Tuesday.
And to buttress his point, Ben Alaiya let the cat out of the bag by revealing that the youngster will start the game against South Africa on Wednesday evening.
“There is no problem with Ogenyi Onazi. He was excused by the coaching crew to settle some personal problems. He will play tomorrow, he is okay.
“Not only Onazi was excused, some other players were excused by the coaches to sort out issues. Some of them are processing their passports, for example, Elderson Echiejile,” said Ben Alaiya to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Eddy Onazi started and completed the last African Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo, which Nigeria won 2 - 0.
