Published: June 10, 2015
Former Nigeria Under 20 international Semi Ajayi will not be offered a new deal by Arsenal, the FA Cup winners have announced through official sources.
The 21 - year - old joined the Gunners on a two - year deal in the autumn of 2013 after impressing the coaches during trials.
Since then, the central defender found it difficult to break into the first team and managed to make the 18 - man squad for Premiership games on three occasions.
Semi Ajayi was loaned out to Cardiff City late March but it is unclear at this point if he would be offered a new deal by the Welsh club especially as he failed to make his debut during his spell on loan.
Arsenal’s other Anglo - Nigerian players - Chuba Akpom, Alex Iwobi and Aaron Eyoma were all retained.
