Published: June 25, 2015
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Nigeria Under 20 international Alhassan Ibrahim is yet to join KVC Westerlo ahead of their first game of the new season against Moses Simon’s Gent on July 26.
After the lanky attacker failed to make the Flying Eagles 21 - man roster for the recently concluded Fifa Under 20 World Cup, he immediately applied for a Belgian visa.
But up to this moment, Ibrahim is still holed up in Nigeria as he is yet to get positive feedback from the Belgian embassy.
With the ex Golden Eaglet star missing a large part of pre - season training, he might find it difficult breaking into the first team of Westerlo when he finally appears in Belgium.
The 18 - year - old has signed a three - year contract with the Antwerp- based club.
