Super Eagles Finish In 66th Position In Year - End Ranking

Football governing body, Fifa, on Thursday published the year - end ranking of national teams.
Compared to their position the previous month, Nigeria have dropped seven places, and now occupy the 66th position. In the continental ranking, the Super Eagles are the 14th best team in Africa.
Ivory Coast, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde Islands and Tunisia are the top five teams in Africa in that order.
Our rivals to book a ticket to the next African Nations Cup - Egypt, Chad and Tanzania - are 57th,114th and 132nd respectively.
Belgian were the best ranked country at the end of 2015, followed by World Cup and Copa America vice - champions Argentina and Spain.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on 7th January, 2016.
