Exclusive : Dream Team Star Etebo Rejects Move To Esperance And CS Sfaxien
Published: December 14, 2015
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Nigeria Under 23 international Oghenekaro Etebo has turned down the chance to join Tunisian clubs Esperance and CS Sfaxien in the January transfer window.
It can be revealed that 36 Lion CEO, Liameed Olawale Gafar , and Tunisian intermediary Mahmoud Ouaddeni flew all the way to Dakar last week in their bid to convince Etebo to commit his future to one of the Tunisian clubs but their labour was in vain.
The agent of the Warri Wolves attacking midfielder argued that no young Nigerian player has flourished for the Blood and Gold, forgetting the exploits of Julius Aghahowa and Obinna Nwaneri .
There was an offer on the table from CS Sfaxien which Ouaddeni took to Dakar but this was rejected outright by Etebo, while Esperance would have launched a bid for him if a verbal agreement from the Dream Team star was in place.
The 20 - year - old Oghenekaro Etebo has repeatedly informed this website that he hopes to sign for an unnamed European club in the winter transfer market.
