Ekiti, Ondo Win Oba Aromolaran U-17 Final Boys And Girls Tourney

Ekiti and Ondo States, have emerged 2015 champions of the Oba Aromolaran National Under-17 Soccer Tournament in boys and girls categories respectfully after the final matches played at Federal Technical College, Ilesa Osun State over the weekend.
The Ekiti team won their hard-fighting Federal Capital Territory (FCT) opponents via penalty shootout while Ondo girls whipped Oyo team by 2-0 to claim the female top prize.
Kaduna also defeated Osun via penalty in the U-13 category that was introduced newly into the annual tourney.
While addressing the participants during the final, the sole financier of the tourney, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran reaffirmed his commitment to the youth capacity building through sports, especially football that is considered to be the most popular game globally.
The sport loving monarch distributed cash incentives, medals, certificates and trophies to the winner in the different categories of the tourney.
