Asisat Oshoala States Reasons For Bankrolling Preseason Tournament

The maiden edition of the Asisat Oshoala Women’ s Pre Season Football
Tournament will get underway on Tuesday 23rd February at the Bishop
Aggey Football Pitch in Mushin.
FC Robo, COD United Ladies, Royal Toms Ladies, Kadesh Ladies, FC Phoenix Ladies and Tokas Queens will participate in the event designed to put teams in shape ahead of the 2015/16 league season.
According to the financier of the competition, Asisat Oshoala, the main objective of the event is to give back to the public and also encourage girls to take their football careers to the next level.
“It gives me joy to have initiated this tournament in order to give back to where I started from,” the Liverpool Ladies forward said.
“We all have our beginnings as footballers and always have stories to tell. I thank God for my career and hope to see these girls attain greater heights in the future.
“I’m using this medium to urge participating teams to be good ambassadors.”
The competition will take place from 23rd to 27th February.
