Norwegian Club Thrashing Out Nwakali Terms With Man City; Now Represented By Pere Guardiola
Published: May 26, 2016
Norwegian Tippeligaen side IK Start are thrashing out terms with Manchester City over the extension of the loan deal for Chidiebere Nwakali.
The Nigeria youth international has been one of the standout players at the Sør Arena outfit since his arrival in March and the club are eager to offer him fresh terms that will run out at the end of the season.
Nwakali was loaned out to IK Start after failing to secure a work permit in England, but there is talk that he may train with Man City during pre-season before the Citizen higher-ups take a decision on his future.
“His contract with IK Start will end in June, but the club are pleading with him to wait until the end of the season before he leaves, ” Chidiebere’s elder brother Allwell Nwakali told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“We will see if he goes for pre-season training with Manchester City, though he is a young player and should not be in a rush. It is better for him to get more experience.
“He has a big chance with Manchester City but the work permit has been a problem.”
Chidiebere Nwakali, 19, is now represented by influential agent Pere Guardiola, who handles the affairs of Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez.
