City Striker Iheanacho, Troost-Ekong, Akpeyi Join Super Eagles In France; Omeruo Still Absent
Published: May 26, 2016
Haugesund defender William Troost-Ekong, Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho and Chippa United netminder Daniel Akpeyi are the latest players to arrive in the Super Eagles camp.
Troost-Ekong was given special permission to arrive in camp on Thursday by the Nigeria Football Federation, as he was involved in an official match for his Norwegian side yesterday.
According to the Nigerian Federation, Genk defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Chelsea stopper Kenneth Omeruo are still being expected in camp twenty four hours before the national team’s meeting with Mali in an international friendly.
Omeruo has not arrived in Rouen as a result of a visa hitch and the young defender is now a doubt for the clash against the West Africans except he takes part in this evening’s training session.
Twenty players are expected to take part in training on Thursday evening.
