For the first time in France, no player with Nigerian roots made the Three Lions starting line-up as they played a goalless draw with Slovakia at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard (Saint-ètienne).

Still in Group B, former Reading winger Robson-Kanu was an unused sub in Wales 3-0 rout of Russia in Toulouse.
