Charlton Athletic Wonderkid Lookman Makes England Provisional Squad For Euro U19s
Published: June 22, 2016
Charlton Athletic wonderkid Ademola Lookman has been named to England U19s provisional roster for this summer’s UEFA European Under-19 Championship, the official website of the Addicks has reported.
If the 18-year-old impresses head coach Aidy Boothroyd during the training camp that will take place at George’s Park over the coming weeks, he will be selected for the tournament that will be hosted by Germany from 11–24 July 2016.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Lookman made his international debut against Mexico on June 4 before he was handed his second cap against the same opponents two days later.
The attacker is eligible to represent Nigeria at U20 and U23 level but has never been called up by the coaches or Federation to the two teams.
England U19s will lock horns with Croatia, Netherlands and France in Group B of the Euro U19s.
