NFF Planning On Conducting Fresh Golden Eaglets Screening Over Bribery ScandalAllnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that the Nigeria Football Federation are planning on conducting a fresh screening for the Golden Eaglets as a result of the perceived sharp practices that trailed the last exercise, where 60 players were shortlisted.

The Federation are yet to make an official statement regarding reports about the bribery scandal involving U17s coach Manu Garba but are working behind the scenes to investigate the incident, to the extent that an individual with close ties to the team was invited for questioning on Wednesday.

As previously reported by this website, Victor Osimhen’s intermediary Shira Yusuf and Lagos-based nursery team Collins Academy influenced the invitation of their players to the get-together in Abuja by offering bribes to Manu Garba and that was confirmed by the individual when he was questioned by NFF staff.

The Nigeria U17s team secretary has been instructed by his superiors to unravel the identities of the nine players that were invited and whether or not they made the provisional squad announced last Friday.

But he has a difficult job on his hands as most of them have changed the names of their original clubs to avoid detection.
