Published: July 23, 2016
Promising Nigerian striker Olufela Olomola was included in Southampton’s traveling party to Holland, where the Premier League club will continue preparations for the new season.
The teenager and 27 other players landed in the Netherlands on Friday, July 22, ahead of today’s friendly against PEC Zwolle.
Olufela Olomola, who will celebrate his 19th birthday in September, spent one week with the first team during their tour of America, and will be hoping to impress new manager Claude Puel in pre-season in his bid to break into the first team.
In Holland, the Saints will also trade tackles with FC Twente and FC Groningen.
Born in England but eligible for Nigeria through his dad, Olomola is yet to commit his international future to any of the two countries but has informed allnigeriasoccer.com he will not reject a call up to the Nigerian national teams.
