Ejaria Not Involved; Ojo Dazzles As Liverpool Continue Fine Pre-Season Form

For the first time in pre-season, ex-Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria was not in the Liverpool squad as the Anfield side tackled AC Milan in the International Champions Cup at the Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara, California) on Sunday morning.

The young midfielder was given a run out against Tranmere Rovers, Fleetwood Town, Wigan Athletic, Huddersfield Town and Chelsea, and helped the Reds record four wins in the process.

England U19 international Sheyi Ojo was named amongst the substitutes, before entering into the fray in the 62nd minute.

On 59 minutes, Origi gave Liverpool the lead before another substitute Firmino made it 2-0 with seventeen minutes remaining when he scored off a deflected shot from Ojo.

The Brazilian would have grabbed his second goal and Liverpool’s third minutes later, but was denied by Gabriel after the Milan defense failed to clear another Ojo center.

Next up for Liverpool is their final match of the USA tour on Tuesday at the Busch Stadium (St. Louis, Missouri) against AS Roma.
