12 Nigeria U23 Players, 7 Officials Arrive In Lagos; No Plans To Host Team

Players and officials of the Dream Team landed in Lagos on Monday evening from Brazil after representing Nigeria at the recently concluded Olympic Games.
The delegation consisted of twelve players and seven officials, according to the Media Officer of the Nigeria U23s Timi Ebikagboro.
Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, Gent loanee William Troost-Ekong and AS Trencin fullback Kingsley Madu were not among the players that arrived in the country today.
The other players that returned to Europe are Oghenekaro Etebo, Umar Aminu and Sadiq Umar, who scored 10 goals in total during the competition.
The Nigeria U23s are lodging at Sheraton Hotel and will be decamped on Tuesday. Sports Ministry and Nigerian Federation officials have not yet communicated when they plan to host the team.
