Exclusive : No Buy-Back Clause Inserted Into Musa Leicester City Contract By CSKA Moscow
Published: October 17, 2016
According to information exclusively gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com’s editorial staff, CSKA Moscow didn’t insert a buy-back clause into the contract of Ahmed Musa before agreeing his sale to Premier League champs Leicester City in July 2016.
Speculations are rife in the local media that the Muscovites are willing to resign the Nigeria international if he fails to make the grade at the Foxes.
And if that is the case, CSKA Moscow must go back to the negotiating table to thrash out a transfer fee with Leicester City because they can’t activate any buy-back clause.
Ahmed Musa, 24, penned a four-year contract with Leicester City, with CSKA Moscow pocketing a minimum of 16 million pounds transfer fee.
This is not to undermine the financial capability of CSKA but they will find it difficult breaking their own transfer fee record for new arrivals, currently held by Ivory Coast star Seydou Doumbia, if they are to resign Musa.
