The Algerian Football Federation have shortlisted 25 professionals for their World Cup qualifier against Nigeria in Uyo on November 12 ahead of the announcement of a new manager for the national team.
Arsenal wonderkid Ismaël Bennacer is in line to earn his second cap for the Desert Foxes having made the roster and he is joined by Rennes duo Mehdi Zeffane and Ramy Bensebaïni, according to the Algerian press.
The authoritative website Le Buteur has also reported that Aissa Mandi and Hicham Belkaroui, who were injured against Cameroon, will be recalled for the matchday two clash with the Super Eagles.
French club Girondins de Bordeaux announced earlier this week that ex-France youth-teamer Adam Ounas will make his international debut for Algeria, subject to FIFA approving his request to chance nationalities.
Meanwhile, Football’s world ruling body, FIFA, has appointed respected Gambian official Bakary Papa Gassama as referee for the World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Uyo.
The game will kickoff at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo at 1700 hours.
