Super Eagles Striker Gbolahan Salami Ends Season On High Note With 15th Goal

Gbolahan Salami ended the 2016 Veikkausliiga season on a high with another goal for KuPS in their hard fought 1-0 win over PS Kemi at the Kuopio Football Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The former Warri Wolves frontman scored the important goal after 13 minutes to take his tally to 15 goals across all competitions.
Three Nigeria internationals in the shape of Salami, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Paul Onobi completed the full shift against the team from Kemi.
The three players signed one year deals with KuPS before the start of the season and it remains to be seen if they will extend their stay in Finland, with the club failing to qualify for the Europa League.
KuPS occupied the seventh position on the table after the last round of matches with 49 points accumulated from 33 games.
