Magnificent Olympiakos Striker Ideye Takes His Tally To Seven Goals
Published: October 30, 2016
Olympiakos moved seven points clear at the top of the Greek Super League standings following their 1-0 win over Atromitos at Peristeri Stadium on Saturday evening.
The defending champions got their sixth consecutive win in all competitions thanks to their Nigerian star Brown Ideye, who netted the game-winner in the 54th minute.
Ideye was left unguarded in the area and made it 1-0 with a header after Fortounis had sent his cross to the number 99.
Of the seven strikers called up to the Nigeria squad to face Algeria in a World Cup qualifier, Ideye has netted the most goals, seven from 13 matches across all competitions, and leads the goalscoring charts in the Super League.
He was named Man of the Match for his brilliant display versus Atromitos.
