Danish Club Seek N2.27 Million From Sponsors To Sign Nigerian-American Defender Mayowa
Published: November 17, 2016
Danish club Thisted FC are hoping to sign Mayowa Alli on Friday, and
have appealed to sponsors to assist them in the acquisition of the
Nigerian defender, who is also in the possession of an American
passport.
According to limfjordupdate.dk, Alli will cost around 13,500 euros (equivalent of N6.62 million) and Thisted now have 8,870 euros contributed by sponsors, meaning they need 4,630 euros ( N2.27 million) to complete the deal.
Alli represented Thisted FC for three months last year, September to December 2015, and this would be his second spell with the club if the transaction can be concluded before the deadline.
Born in Maryland, the stopper turned out for Danish teams Vendsyssel and Jammerbugt FC before returning to Faroese club Klaksvik in January 2016.
Mayowa Alli is a central defender who can be handy in the left back position.
