Anderson Esiti Takes Walk Of Shame In Gent Loss To Anderlecht
Published: December 22, 2016
Anderson Esiti was shown a straight red card in Gent’s 3-2 loss to Anderlecht in a Belgian First Division match held at the Ghelamco Arena on Thursday night.
Gent were reduced to ten men after the defensive midfielder was sent off for a tackle on Bram Nuytinck, though replays suggested that referee Lambrechts was conned by the Dutch defender into dismissing the Nigeria international.
Known for his physicality, Esiti last took the walk of shame in a league match back in February 2015 while defending the colours of Estoril versus Benfica, prior to today’s meeting.
Lukasz Teodorczyk (2) and Alexandru Chipciu registered their names on the scoresheet for Anderlecht, while
Danijel Milicevic bagged a brace for the home team.
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was the other Nigerian player on parade at Ghelamco Arena.
