Highest Nigerian Goalscorer In England For 2016 Makes EFL Team Of The Season

Prolific Barnet striker John Akinde has been named in the EFL Team of the Season for the 2016 calendar year.
In a 3-4-3 formation, the English-born Nigerian attacker led the frontline alongside Will Grigg (Wigan Athletic) and
Matty Taylor (Bristol Rovers).
The official website of EFL writes : “Akinde leads the Sky Bet League Two goalscoring charts having grabbed 17 goals for Barnet so far this season, carrying on from where he left off at the end of 2015/16.
The powerful striker found the net 13 times during the finale to that campaign, making him the EFL’s top goalscorer this calendar year.”
Akinde’s form for Barnet has not gone unnoticed with several teams interested in signing him few days before the opening of the transfer window.
