Published: January 22, 2017
Sunderland boss David Moyes has revealed that Victor Anichebe will need to be assessed by the medical team in order to determine the extent of the injury he suffered against West Brom on Saturday.
On his first appearance this calendar year following a spell on the sidelines, the Nigeria international lasted 24 minutes on the The Hawthorns pitch.
“Having Victor [Anichebe] back was a big positive for us, however, he did pick up a knock so we will need to check on that, ” said Moyes to the club’s official website.
“We’ve got over a week until our next game now, hopefully that will let us get some more players back in training, we need it.”
Victor Anichebe has recorded 11 appearances this term, scoring 3 goals.
