Exclusive : Aalborg Attempted To Sign Levski Sofia Striker Tunde Adeniji
Published: April 05, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Danish Superliga side Aalborg BK attempted to sign Nigeria international Tunde Adeniyi before his switch to PFC Levski Sofia last year.
A representative of Aalborg had traveled to Akure for contract talks with Sunshine Stars but the leadership of the Nigeria Professional Football League outfit rejected the proposal.
Aalborg had offered Sunshine Stars a transfer fee of €100,000, and Adeniji would have penned a three-year contract subject to him passing a medical examination.
Few months after the botched transfer to Denmark, the 21-year-old frontman linked up with Levski Sofia.
Aalborg have argued that Adeniji stood a better chance of developing in Scandinavia than Bulgaria.
