Ex-Nigeria U20 Skipper Ajagun Bags Brace For Roda After Refusing To Be Substituted
Published: April 15, 2017
Ex-Flying Eagles skipper Abdul Ajagun returned to scoring ways in Roda JC Kerkrade's 3-1 win over Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.
The attacking midfielder opened the scoring in the 14th minute before doubling the home team's advantage just after the hour mark.
Soon after Ajagun netted his first goal, he was stretchered off the field due to injury and was about to be replaced before he insisted on returning to the pitch which paid off in the end.
He somehow managed to put in a full shift along with Sparta Rotterdam's Belgian-Nigerian star Ryan Sanusi, who picked up a caution in the 60th minute.
The Rivers United product joined Roda last July on loan from Greek side Panathinaikos.
