Ex-Watford Star Ighalo Rushed To Hospital, Out For Four Weeks
Published: April 16, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria international Odion Ighalo is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury in Changchun Yatai's Chinese Super League clash on Saturday.
The former Watford star was forced off with an injury in the 73rd minute of his team's 3-2 loss to Shanghai Shenhua after receiving a kick to the left ankle joint.
Changchun Yatai are taking no chances as their marque January signing was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment after the game at the Development Area Stadium.
Ighalo is thought to have suffered a recurrence of an old injury following the harsh tackle by an opponent.
His availability for the Super Eagles next competitive fixture against South Africa on June 10 is not in doubt if his rehabilitation goes according to plan as he is expected to spend four weeks on the sidelines.
