Chelsea Defender Omeruo, Musa Arrive In Uyo; Onazi To Captain Team Vs RSA

Two Premier League players in the shape of Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa and Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo have joined the national team's camp in Uyo ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifier versus South Africa.
Thus, Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr will run the rule over all the players he has called up for the game for the first time on Tuesday, June 7, as Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile has linked up with the squad as well.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Federation have informed via their official webpage that Trabzonspor midfielder Eddy Onazi will captain the team in the absence of recuperating captain Mikel John Obi.
Previewing the clash against Bafana Bafana, Onazi said : ''I have confidence in the group that we have now and the ambition oozing in the camp. We want to go to the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
''Starting well on Saturday will be key to our aspiration.''
The South African Football Association has confirmed that the Bafana Bafana delegation will fly into Lagos on Wednesday and then immediately connect a flight to Uyo.
