Super Eagles Stars Showing Signs Of Fatigue Ahead Of Battle Of Uyo
Published: June 08, 2017
Some of the Super Eagles players showed signs of fatigue during their first two training sessions in Uyo, ahead of Saturday's African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
Understandably, it has been a strenuous season for most of the lads, and they had to postpone their vacations, where they would have recharged their batteries, before reporting for international duty towards the end of May.
''They looked tired, maybe because the season just ended. They were not agile, maybe the weather was a bit humid, '' a top source who witnessed the training session on Wednesday told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''We should beat South Africa, I was impressed with Maroof Yusuf, being a first timer he did well.''
The Super Eagles training session on Thursday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium is closed, and fans and journalists were warned yesterday not to come near the stadium.
