England are world champions for the first time in over fifty years after their U20 team defeated Venezuela 1-0 at the Suwon World Cup Stadium in the final of the Fifa U20 World Cup.
Five players of Nigerian descent lined up for the Young Lions in the showpiece game in South Korea : Dominic Solanke, Fikayo Tomori, Josh Onomah, Sheyi Ojo and Ademola Lookman.
The sixth player that made the roster, Liverpool's Ovie Ejaria, was an unused substitute, and the youngsters have all taken to social media to express their joy after beating the South American opponents.
