Ex-Leicester Coach Ranieri Wants New Nwankwo Kanu, Simy At Nantes
Published: June 15, 2017
New Nantes manager Claudio Ranieri is in the market for a striker and has targeted Crotone's Simeon Tochukwu Nwanwko.
Simy, who models his game after former Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu, helped Crotone avoid the drop in his debut season in Italy, netting crucial goals against Torino and Sampdoria in the business end of the season.
According to Sportitalia, Nantes have opened a line of communication with Crotone over the signing of the Nigerian.
Born and raised in Onitsha, he spent his formative years as a footballer with Future Hope Academy, Nkpor and G.U.O FC before joining the youth team of Portimonense.
Simy has contractual obligations with the Pythagoreans until the end of the 2018-2019 season.
