Newcastle Join Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs In Race For English-Born Nigerian Star

The scramble for the signature of Ross Barkley is heating up, with Newcastle United the latest club linked with a move for the Everton midfielder.
According to the Daily Mail, the Magpies are hoping to beat their rivals to the services of Barkley, but the stumbling block is that they may not be able to meet the financial requirements to strike a deal with the player and Everton.
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing Ross Barkley, and it is believed that Manchester City and West Ham are also in the frame.
The 23-year-old has decided to move onto pastures new after spending the last twelve years of his career at The Toffees.
Barkley is currently recovering from a groin injury and has not featured for Everton in pre-season games.
