Manchester City have updated their jersey numbers ahead of their first Premier League game of the new season against new boys Brighton at the Falmer Stadium on Saturday evening.
Three promising Nigerian teenagers were handed jersey numbers in the squad number list submitted to the Premier League by the Citizens.
Tom Dele-Bashiru has inherited the number 72 jersey which was worn by Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho until last week when he completed his transfer to Leicester City.
Central defender Tosin Adarabioyo has been handed a lower jersey number, he will suit up with the number 24 kit.
Jos-born defender Ashinme Kigbu will don the number 86 shirt if he debuts for the first team against the Seagulls.
The 17-year-old Dele-Bashiru hopes to establish himself in the Super Eagles squad (or Three Lions) in the next five years.
''In 5 years time, I am aiming to be playing at the top level of football. With a few international caps to my name, ” Dele-Bashiru told topflighttalk.co.uk earlier this year.
''Whether it be for Nigeria or England. I want to have played in the champions league and he known as one of the best midfielders in the world.''
