Chelsea Confident They Can Sign Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs Linked Midfielder For N11.8B
Published: August 12, 2017
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur think they can sign England international of Nigerian descent Ross Barkley for half of the midfielder's asking price.
Everton value Barkley at £50million, which has put off suitors, but both London teams are confident of wrapping up a deal for £25million (N11.8billion).
''They think they can get him for around £25m, Everton think he’s worth double that at £50m,'' Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol said.
''Barkley is back training and Ronald Koeman says it is still possible that he could be an Everton player this season.''
Barkley, 23, has less than twelve months remaining on his contract with The Toffees and has refused to put pen to paper on a new long-term deal because he wants to move on to pastures new.
Manchester United and Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the playmaker.
