Manchester United Reject Tottenham, Inter Milan Bid For Striker
Published: August 13, 2017
Manchester United have rejected an offer made by Tottenham Hotspur for France international Anthony Martial, according to Radio Monte Carlo.
The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho refused the proposal from Spurs, and it remains to be seen if the striker will depart the club before the close of the transfer window, or whether he will be condemned to a bench role.
Despite impressing in pre-season, Martial watched proceedings from the bench in Manchester United's 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final.
Inter Milan were interested in loaning Martial, with an obligation to buy, but the proposal was turned down by Manchester United.
The 21-year-old Martial arrived Manchester United from Monaco in 2015 for £36 million.
